Board of Elders
About the Session
The Session oversees the mission, ministry, and governance of the church, always acting in service to the congregation. It is comprised of the Pastor, who serves as Moderator, and 12 Elders elected to serve three-year terms.
The Session meets monthly at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday.
Each Elder is assigned to one of the church’s standing committees. These committees are led by a Moderator and Vice-Moderator—both Session members—who are appointed by the Pastor and confirmed by the Session. In addition to Elders, committees include active members of the congregation and meet on a monthly basis.
Session Committees include:
– Worship & Music
– Christian Education
– Mission
– Outreach & Fellowship
– Property Management
– Finance & Administration
Elders are also called to assist in preparing and serving communion six times a year, alternating responsibilities with the Deacons.
